Larry P. English, 1969 graduate of HSU from Wichita Falls who now lives in Brentwood, TN is the author of a newly published book, "Improving Data Warehouse and Business Information Quality."

The 518 page paperback was published by John Wiley & Sons Inc., New York, Chickester, Weinheim, Brisbane, Singapore and Toronto.

English, a member of HSU's Board of Development, writes about methods for reducing costs and increasing profits.

He recently presented a copy of the book to Dr. Lanny Hall, HSU president.

"In gratitude for the foundation HSU has given me, I give back my experience and knowledge, " he wrote in presenting the publication to the HSU president.

The book contains 14 chapters, appendixes, glossary, index and an information quality recommended reading and bibliography.

"This book is not for everyone," English writes in the early part of the publication. "It is for people who care about their customers and their information customers. This book is for people who do not like to see people and money resources wasted on information scrap and rework when they could be doing things that add value. This book is for people who seriously want to see shareholder value increase on a long-term basis, not merely from quarterly statement to quarterly statement."
